LPC
My goal in the therapeutic space is to provide a warm, safe, and non-judgemental environment where you get to make your journey your own. I aim to meet you where you are and provide a compassionate, collaborative space to navigate your journey. My approach integrates aspects of Internal Family Systems (IFS), Emotion Focused Therapy (EFT), Mindfulness-based practices and Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) to support healing and growth. For my younger clients, I incorporate Play Therapy and Art Therapy to create an inviting and open space that they can connect with and feel safe and supported in.
After completing my undergraduate degree in Minnesota, I moved to Madison to pursue my Master’s degree in counseling from Lakeland University. My time in school fostered an already existing passion to support others and be curious with how each individual’s outer and inner experience shapes their world. At Lakeland, I especially trained to be curious, compassionate, and work collaboratively with individuals to harness their strength and resiliency.
Throughout my clinical experience I have had the beautiful opportunity to work with children and adults with neurodivergence in multiple settings that has bolstered my passion for working with clients to navigate and embrace their neurodivergence. I have also had the privilege of working with clients with a wide range of concerns, including anxiety, depression, grief and loss, trauma, women’s health, and life transitions. I hold connection and curiosity at the core of my practice and feel incredibly honored to walk with each client’s journey of growth and change.
Outside of therapy, you can find me in the garden if it is warm out or cuddling with my cats if it is cold. There is great beauty and guidance that a garden can share and I take great joy in watching one grow. I spend as much time as I can in nature and will never turn down an opportunity to hike, walk, kayak, or swim.
